Funding for your nursery place can happen in a variety of ways. It can be either government linked or employee sponsored. Cotton Socks also assist with fees through discounts for siblings, early payment and holiday reductions. We do not ask for a deposit and only ask for fees to be paid monthly in advance.
The Government provide nursery care support through Child Tax Credit and Working Tax Credit. In certain situations this would be enough to cover your fees. The Inland Revenue provide an online facility to check your eligibility and amount you could get: http://www.hmrc.gov.uk
Once you child is 3 years old, approved day care providers can apply for Government funding for up to 5 x 2 ½ daily sessions which reduces your overall nursery fees. Funding applies from the term after your child's 3rd birthday. Therefore if your child's birthday is before August 31st 2008 they will be eligible for funding from the Autumn term begining this September.
We have fully funded sessions which can be used separately or together - we can provide a full list of options if required.
We provide morning and / or afternoon funded places as part of a longer session. These can be taken together as a 5 hour session providing there is no overlap in funding with another pre-school. The 5 hour session includes a hot lunch and pudding.
We also have a variety of schemes that can be tailor made to your needs. For example, we can start the 5 hour session from 11:30 if required. Please ask about the different options when you visit.
Many companies provide Childcare Vouchers. As joint parents you can save up to £2,390 per annum depending on the NI and tax rate you pay. Your employer would normally give these to you directly. We accept all vouchers, the main one being ACCOR. Here is their website – http://www.childcarevouchers.co.uk
We believe in trust as part of the relationship.
We do not ask for a deposit – we only require fees to be paid monthly in advance. Therefore if your child started mid month we would ask for fees up until the end of the month. You are then billed monthly in advance thereafter.
If you start at the begining of the month, you will be asked to pay for that month in advance. You will receive a 2% discount for fees paid before the 1st.
We recognise that not everyone is paid monthly and prefer to pay per session or weekly. Providing this is agreed as part of the registration process we will set your account up according to your needs.
We only ask that you maintain the same days and times per week in order that we can staff accordingly. Any changes would need at least one week's notice.
We charge for non attendance as we would do for monthly fee paying customers.
We will reduce your monthly fees by 2% if they are paid before the 1st of the month.
We reduce your sibling fees by 10%.
We reduce your annual holiday fees by 50% for up to 2 weeks.
We have a special teacher scheme - see separate page
We offer a 10% discount to NHS staff (no other discount on top of this!)
We have a number of students that receive funding for their childcare. Colleges have different approaches to how they fund depending on the students age and the type of course. Often this means that fees are paid in arrears. We are happy to help with childcare providing that we have evidence that the college will be paying the fees. Often this can make the difference between taking the course or not being able to. If you are thinking of taking a course and fees will be paid or part paid, please call us to discuss what options are available.
